2) Koa/Sitka "OM" 14 fret bound in ebony

Elegant simplicity !!...very tasteful and if they sound as good as they look (i'm sure they do) they are sure to be attention grabbers. And I have to agree with Dickey...the light color of the spalted maple binding really accents the Rosewood and defines the shape. Great Crafsmanship. Good Luck !

Paul, I really like your aesthetic sense - very elegant shapes, beautiful woods with no gaudy distractions. The unassuming & simple soundhole treatment just sends your eye to the binding & other more subtle appointments. Beautiful work. Who needs pearl? You truly don't.

Paul You are indeed one of the "Big Boys" you only have to look at these guitars to know why. Awesome is understating it !!! Hope you have a guide book for the Healdsburg area, have a feeling these won't be on your table for too long. |

Paul, I have to agree absolutely stunning, I love the understated appearance, I'm gonna have to do a no rosette guitar, I just love the look! I always wait for your new creations, I think your craftsmanship, design and attention to detail are incredible. The wallpaper on my laptop is the shot of the inside of one of your cutaways, that's how good I think you are! One day I'll build something as beautiful. Colin |

Understated elegence...quite nice. I really like the Ziricote guitar. You hit a home run with the Sapele guitar too. |

Dang guys, I'm not going to be able to get into the shop because my head is so big now. Thanks for the extremely kind comments. Walter. I liked the Sycamore very much. I bent the sides EXTREMELY thick (.140") and they did just fine. It's kind of stinky when sanding. Smells like steaming broccoli. Brock: the spalted maple binding was probably not the best idea I've ever had. It looks nice but offers very little protection to the guitar. It's pretty punky. And that made it a treat to bend I'll tell you...YUCK! Thanks again guys. |

Colby, I photograph them on Black Felt. Bracket the shots to give me light lights and dark darks and blend them all in photoshop. |

Paul, I am not a luthier, just a lurker who likes to read about guitar building... I have to say, your guitars are truly elegant and have very pleasing proportions and design aesthetics...but I for one miss your former bridge design. I thought it was truly a one of a kind design. Was it a functional change [form follows function]?? or just a stylistic change to the new bridge design? Either way, keep up the great work. Your guitars are beautiful. |
